Pigs provide for families:

To help hungry, undernourished families put protein back in their diets at little cost, By Faith Ministries provide the ability for farmers in the Philippines to raise healthy pigs.

The Piggery starts off in the initial stages by giving the Pastor one pregnant female pig and they normally store it around their house or on their land.

As the Pigs give birth, normally High Bred Pigs give birth to approximately 14 Piglets; we build a number of pig cages to accommodate the pig families. This is done with the supplying of the materials and a “Community Working Bee” to erect the cages, thus allowing members of the community to participate in the project.

A full grown Pig ready for breeding sells for 3800p (AUD $92), the piglets sell for 1800peso (AUD $40) each.

From each litter of pigs the family is compelled to keep one female for breeding stock, give one female pig away to another family in the community to start their own farm, then the rest is available for him to sell.
